Allied Prep’s pharmacy technician program is an 16-week program designed to help students gain the skills that they’ll need to become a pharmacy technician in either a retail or hospital pharmacy setting. Pharmacy technicians have a lot of important responsibilities that can affect the health of their customers. Because this position is so important, Allied Prep only retains instructors with Doctor of Pharmacy degrees within our pharmacy technician school.

Just as importantly, you’ll learn the skills that are necessary to be successful as an entry-level pharmacy technician. Responsibilities of pharmacy techs include interpreting physician orders and prescriptions, preparing medications, communicating with customers, performing pharmaceutical calculations, processing insurance claims, and controlling pharmacy inventory.
At Allied Prep, we will help you feel prepared not just to pass your pharmacy tech exam but also to work competently with pharmacists, doctors, and customers. You’ll learn about the rules of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethics while also gaining a strong understanding of medical and pharmaceutical terminology.
